Marguerite Humeau “Migrations” “El Nino” “Kuroshio” “La Nina” Venice Biennale Art Exhibition
Marguerite Humeau was born in 1986 in Cholet, France; she lives and works in London. Her works are exhibited at the Corderie of the Arsenal in Venice.
These strangely shaped sculptures are born from an alchemical mixture of resins, algae, bones, powdered minerals, plastic and glass.
We are seduced by these three sculptures' elegant and fluid gestures that seem to fly or float or even dance in circles.
Their creator has given them a name that designates them as beings in their own right, whether they are organisms swimming at the bottom of the oceans, cells transiting through the liquid of an organism, unknown space travellers, or even aliens in a trance launched into a mad race.
