Louise Bonnet, Pisser Triptych, Venice Biennale Art Exhibition
Louise Bonnet was born in 1970; she lives and works in Switzerland. Her work “Pissing Triptych” is exhibited at the Arsenal in Venice.
Louise Bonnet is an artist who is interested in liquids produced by our body, urine, saliva, sweat, blood or milk.
Thus was born his large canvas “Pisser Triptych” (2m13 high by 7m21 wide). It presents the cycles of consumption and then excretion by which we absorb raw materials through the mouth only to reject them endlessly in the form of waste through our lower body.
Louise Bonnet considers that the excess of body fluids that we reject is both a source of pollution of nature and fertilization and enrichment of the soil.
The crucial point, according to her, lies between our feeling of control and our practical ability to control these cycles.
In “Pisser Tryptic”, on the left part, we see a woman sitting; from her breasts, milk is squirting powerfully and abundantly until reaching the squatting woman in the centre of the triptych and who we see urinating just as profusely.
Finally, in the third part of the triptych, a woman lies half-lying, half-sitting in a passive position receiving a powerful stream of urine that lands on her lower abdomen.
