Allison Katz was born in 1980. Her works are exhibited at the Arsenal in Venice. She lives and works in Canada.

Alison Katz likens her work to the voice that reflects a sensitive person's temperament or state of mind who expresses herself in an original style that encourages dialogue and exchange.

The paintings of the Canadian artist present different themes not devoid of humour and poetry.

“Be Nice” shows two roosters face to face, completely covered in grains but always ready to fight for the treasure represented by many seeds that far exceed their needs.

In slang, having a lot of wheat means being rich, but the two cocks always want more and remain on their guard, as the rivalry remains.

“Birth Canal” represents a canal in Montreal, the hometown of Alison Katz. A canal with two levels is separated by the bridge that crosses it.

A landscape without the slightest human presence within the foreground, a moored boat and the city's modern buildings on any horizon. The opposite of Venice.

“Milk Glass” is a portrait of a couple joining hands, but they are two octopuses made of Murano glass, with a nipple at the top of their heads that look like a pair of breasts.
