In effect, in addition to the “traditional” museums, the city can also take into account churches, scuole, palaces opened to the public, etc... Venice itself is even a museum and is teeming with works of art of all kinds and of any era.
Know also that Venice has for instance a museum of Oriental Art of very big quality, or else a museum of beautiful icons.
Of course you will not have to either miss visiting the museum of Glass of Murano nor that of Accademia or large Scuole like Scuola San Rocco, filled of sumptuous paintings of Tintoretto.
Some palaces are true museums by themselves, such as the Palace Querini Stampalia where you will be able to admire, among many things, probably the most beautiful painting of Bellini.
Finally, churches are as, perhaps even more so, rich in painting as many of the official museums and you will be able to admire fabrics of Veronese, Tintoretto, Titian, Bellini, there etc, etc...
In regards to statuary art, it is principally on the street. Open eyes, look to the left, to the right, above or down, there is always a statue, a sculpture within eyesight along any calle of Venice.
In addition to all these big museums and other libraries and religious treasures, you will also be able to add certain more intimate museums, those of the great men of the city like the home of Carlo Goldoni or else guide your steps towards numerous exhibitions which are permanently held in Venice.
