Gustav Klimt, Judith II - Salome,  Ca' Pesaro International Modern Art Gallery in Venice Italy
Judith II Salome
The International Gallery of Modern Art of Venice is housed in Ca' Pesaro's beautiful palace, one of Venice's largest along the Grand Canal.

You can admire many works of a very high artistic level that alone are worth visiting in this exceptional place.

This museum of modern art has always been intimately linked to the Venice Art Biennale, and many works exhibited there went through the exhibition fairs of the Biennale.

Among the most famous is Gustav Klimt's “Judith II Salome”, one of the painter's masterpieces.

This sumptuous painting is exhibited in a room with two drawings and watercolours by Egon Schiele, four etchings and engravings by James Ensor and a beautiful sculpture by Adolfo Wildt.

In the other rooms of the Museum of Modern Art of Ca' Pesaro, you can also admire Marc Chagall's very moving “Rabbi of Vitebsk”, hung next to a bronze representing the writer Anatole France carved by Antoine Bourdelle.

Beautiful lithography by Odilon Redon, “L'Art céleste” is also one of the works to see and a lovely portrait “Little Aloha” by Roy Lichtenstein.

You can also see paintings and sculptures by Rodin, Kandinsky, Matisse, Henry Moore and Paul Klee.
