Alice Maher and Rachel Fallon This enormous tapestry, created by artists Alice Maher and Rachel Fallon, ‘The Map’, is a historical and legendary journey across the world that weaves together human emotions and their consequences.

We see Eve in the Garden of Eden, holding the serpent, and, beside her, a theological mist.

On the same continent as Eve, in response to her sin, are depicted two scarred feet, a hermit’s cave, the desert of reason and the plain of penitents.

In the panel below this, couples meet, pass through the ballroom of romance, then kiss and embrace whilst bathing in the city of lovers.
