Chiara Camoni “Con te con tutto” Italy, Venice Biennale 2026

Chiara Camoni’s sculptures at the Italian Pavilion in the Venice Arsenal are representations of female bodies.

All these women have been created using clay-based terracotta, which gives their forms a soft, sculpted quality.

Chiara Camoni Semi-terrestrial, semi-aquatic plants form long drapes covering the bodies from the base of the neck down to the ground.

Most of these slender women are standing and tower above us.

These sculptures are, in fact, usually over two metres tall.

However, one of them lies reclining like an odalisque, whilst another sits in the pose of a goddess of nature.

What is striking is the extreme elegance and grace that emanates from all these figures.

Very feminine figures, wearing hats adorned with flowers and leaves.

Some hold bouquets in their hands or present dishes in gestures reminiscent of offerings.
