Kaloki Nyamai These two works by Kaloki Nyamai depict masculine power and feminine fragility.

The man appears stable and seemingly calm, yet at the same time his solid form is surrounded by vegetation that seems to cling to him, penetrate his skin and wrap itself around him like vines, illustrating his immersion in a colourful, untamed natural world.

Opposite him, against a light beige background, is a woman whose half-naked body is depicted in the form of a mosaic.

She averts her eyes from the man sitting opposite her, who is looking at her and smiling.

Kaloki Nyamai’s other works presented at the 2026 Venice Art Biennale are on display at the Corderia dell’Arsenale in Venice.
