Oriol Vilanova “Los restos” Spain, Venice Biennale 2026

Oriol Vilanova’s work, on display at the Spanish Pavilion at the 2026 Venice Art Biennale, is entitled “Los Restos” (The Remains).

Among the various collections of images presented by Oriol Vilanova, one can see series of bridges, boats, marquees, coats of arms, monuments in famous cities, markets, works of art, aerial photographs, statues of famous men and women on their pedestals, and so on.

Oriol Vilanova has set himself no limits of space or time; his image collages span the entire world and nearly two thousand years.

He invites us to view and revisit the past of the world around us and its diverse cultures.
