Cave_bureau “Oral Archive New Age Africana” Venice International Architecture Biennale
Cave_bureau, Oral Archive The architects of this project wanted to highlight and show African archives, transmitted from generation to generation in all their forms: stories, songs, dance and poetry.
These archival elements transmitted to us help us remain in permanent communion with caves, forests, valleys, oceans, deserts, mountains and meadows and with the rest of life and our existence.
These archives are included in a film that brings them together.
On the wall facing the projected film are Makanga tapestries whose traditional designs transmit traditions.
