Voluspa Jarpa’s exhibition, “Altered Views” at the Chilean Pavilion at the 2019 Venice Art Biennale, is an invitation to reflect on racism, economic interests and domination as a form of colonialism.

The exhibition is divided into three parts: The Museum of Hegemony, the Gallery of Subordinate Portraits and the Emancipation Opera.

Voluspa Jarpa is a Chilean artist, born in 1971 in Rancagua, Chile.

She lives and works in Santiago.
