Entering the Polish Pavilion, one is surprised by the large size of Stanczak’s sculpture, made from a real “deconstructed” plane.

A message about the political situation and economic transformations.

The artist wanted to reverse the visible world and show the inside outside in this work.

Roman Stanczak, Flight For Stanczak, this inversion of things has a spiritual dimension, a kind of preparation for death, for the passage to the other side, creation and destruction are linked.

In fact, the cockpit, the onboard equipment, and the cabin’s interior emerge on the outside while the wings are found inside.

A rather powerful sculpture, but... to avoid if you are afraid of air travel!
