Golden Lion Awards Venice Cinema Mostra 2024 81th Film Festival

The Jury of the 81st Venice International Film Festival, chaired by Isabelle Huppert and including James Gray, Andrew Haigh, Agnieszka Holland, Kleber Mendonça Filho, Abderrahmane Sissako, Giuseppe Tornatore, Julia von Heinz and Zhang Ziyi, after viewing the 21 films in competition, has decided to award the following prizes:

Golden Lion 2024 for Lifetime Achievement

Australian director and screenwriter Peter Weir (The Dead Poet's Society, The Truman Show, Master and Commander) has been awarded the Golden Lion for lifetime achievement at the 81st Venice International Film Festival.
