The red, blue and gold feathers of the lady bird gave way to mauve, emerald and gold feathers, belonging to a distinguished lady from Venice.Vivianne and Merlin the Enchanter then replaced the purple feathers with their bodies clad in foliage.
Two little fairies, perched on their hats, gazed out over the Campo in front of the church of San Zaccaria, delighted at the thought of welcoming the bright flowers of summer.
