Flat Venice Laguna View

Flat Laguna View

Terrace View
The flat is situated on the second and third floors (without a lift, 30 steps) of a Venetian house, whose facade directly faces the Fondamente Nove of Venice’s Lagoon.

One of the flat’s charms: You have a front row view of the boats’ water ballet from your window.

Rest assured there is no noise to worry about, all the windows in this flat are double-glazed and the bedrooms are on the quiet sides of the house, where you will have a peaceful quiet sleep.

The Venetian Altana (Roof Terrace)

The Venetian Altana Roof Terrace and its view.
Altana Roof Terrace
The highlight of this flat is its beautiful Venetian Altana roof terrace (4.8 x 1.9 metres) with a superb view on Venice’s Lagoon and Murano and San Michele islands.

It has a thick wooden floor laid over the home’s roof pillars.

The Altana roof terrace is part of Venice’s history and architecture and you will see many of them on Venice’s roofs.

Centuries ago Venetian women would sit in the sun and bleach their hair on the Altane to give them the famous Venetian Blond (light auburn).

Today, there are much easier ways to get that colour! But you will find so many other reasons to enjoy that Altana and its view, relaxing in chairs that overlook the Lagoon.

The dining area is spacious and bright with a high ceiling and exposed wooden beams.

From the dinner table, you will enjoy the view through the window, such as the seagulls’ graceful flight over the Lagoon or the passing boats.

The lounge area is also welcoming with its large sofa and its coffee table, facing a large wide-screen television.
